Dec, 16
By Real Deals For You |

Now that December has finally arrived, it’s time for us all to embrace the fact that Christmas decorations need to go up – and soon!

But just because it’s that time of year again, it doesn't mean you need to use the same old decorations you’ve been getting out the loft for the last ten years.

Why not spice things up?

We’ve got some great ideas below for Christmas decorations you can make quickly and most importantly, cheaply! They’ll give your home a warm rustic touch this festive season, not to mention they can also earn you some serious brownie points, which may even get you out of helping with the gift wrapping…

1. Scrapwood Rudolph

Take four spindles, some salvaged wood, screws and a touch of paint (not forgetting a red nose!) and what do you have? You guessed it – your very own wooden Rudolph and a great new Christmas decoration.

Alongside the materials, all you need is a jigsaw and a good drill, just like this one from DeWalt and then you’re ready to get started – just take a look at the full instructions on findinghomefarms.com.

There are lots of different ideas out there - many of which are quick and simple, and only require basic household tools, such as hammers and drills. Don’t be afraid to get creative using stencils, paints and garlands to decorate your tree too – it makes all the difference.

3. Woodslice Christmas decorations

Getting the design on the wood is really simple too. If you’d like to find out more about the process, and download some of the designs, check out mountainmodernlife.com.
